Atlee orchestra is a registered organization which is affiliated to Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi and is the popular most  music troupe of Thrissur and one of the best in Kerala.. "The God's Own Country". 

As you know, Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala,  is an example of communal harmony. 'Thrissur Pooram' brought this city to the global map of tourism. Dolour's church is the highest church in south India. Yes! Three communal monuments, Vadakkumnatha temple, Dolour's church and mosque stands in the heart of this city, touching hand to hand in the vicinity of 500 meters. We are proud to say that Atlee Orchestra is the music troupe of the musicians of this city and is lead by the famous Guitarist of  Thrissur...Mr.Atlee DCunha. We... one family....and the result ....an unbeatable music troupe. The plus point of this troupe is....we always encourage new talented young artists and give thorough training....make them unique in stage performances and recordings...and enable them to perform according to the taste of update generation with updated songs... Yes.. that is OUR MOTTO...TO CREATE A NEW YOUNG TALENTED PERFORMING MUSICIANS.....Sure....we are in the right path.  More than one thousand stage shows have been completed since the formation day, 12 years back. Atlee orchestra have now become the best music troupe of Thrissur. With the most talented young musicians, the stage shows throb the hearts of the music lovers with high voltage and take them to the scintillating world of ecstasy. Dance to the beats of latest hits and also go back to your memorable golden days by hearing to the gems of golden old songs from Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi movies. Nothing will hold you back from our stage shows and you will love to stick on to your seats, enjoying  your favorite songs. The 3-way high watts latest sound system will give you the digital perfection for the performance.

About Atlee D'Cunha
 

Atlee D'Cunha is a famous guitarist with 40 year's of  professional experience. He has accompanied guitar for most of the South Indian play back singers like K.J. Yesudas, P.Jayachandran, P.Susheela, S.Janaki, Vanijayaram, Chitra, C.O.Anto, Biju Narayanan etc.  He was a troupe member of G Devarajan master's orchestra in 70's along with the present renowned music directors like Johnson and Ousephachan. Also accompanied guitar for Music director Ravindran master. Atlee has also composed music for movie. 'Ammavanu pattiya amali' was his debut. In 1995 he was awarded with Lions award for the best music director of  Doordarsan TV serials. 'Muttathu Varkey Kathakal' was the title of the award winning serial. Music for some audio albums were also composed by Atlee, which were widely accepted. He was also honored on 12th March 2006 at Regional theatre, Thrissur by SAMSKARA SAHITI, Thrissur for his valuable contributions  to the music field of Thrissur.
 He is a B-High grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarsan. Now he is also the jury board member of State school youth festival and Light music audition board of All India Radio, Thrissur. He had also visited abroad for stage music programs, especially with Jayachandran. He has brought up so many young talented singers and instrumental players to the professional field. Many top musicians of Thrissur are trained in his guidance and he can always be proud of them....

Achievements of Atlee...

The new play back singer  Asha.G.Menon, who was awarded with the Kerala Govt. Film award for the best female singer in 2001, was brought up by Atlee.  Play back singer  Gayatri was also introduced to the music field by Atlee. She also bagged the best film play back singer Kerala state award in 2004.The achievement list wont be complete, if we dont refer the names of  Franco and Viswanathan, the young play back singers who were also braught to music field by Atlee D'Cunha. Franco Simon was the singer of this troupe in the years of  '95-'99 time. Now he is famous by the film song "Pinapple penne","En karalil" (Nammal) and the songs " sundariye vaa" and " "Chempakame" in the hit album CHEMPAKAME,(music composed by Shyam Dharman). Music score of this album was assisted by our key board artist Mr.Ramadas ,who is also busy with album recordings.

Asha G Menon...Was awarded with the Kerala Govt. Film award-2001 for the best female singer. She became a renowned  singer through Atlee Orchestra's live stages. She bagged this award, for her debut film song "Aradhyam parayum" in the film 'Mazha'.

     

Gayatri..Who was our singer, got a break as a film play backsinger in the film "Arayannangalude Veedu" in which Ravindran composed music. Ilaya Raja also utilized her voice in the film "Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal" and the song 'Ghanasyama' was a big hit. In 2004 she bagged the best female play back singer's state film award. Now She is a busy with recordings and visual media..

Every year Johnson and Atlee, who were the disciples of Devarajan master, used to conduct music competition titled "Devaragam", based songs composed by G.Devarajan.Foto,during the competition in sep.26-2008 at Natyagriham.The gold medals were sponsored by Joy Alukkas and cash prizes by Kalabhavan Moni.
